The unit
has a variable control to regulate the amount of ozone that is produced, so not to
overwhelm anyone near the exhaust vents with the potentially harmful effects of ozone.
An externally mounted air
flow monitor safety switch halts the production of ozone in the event of main exhaust fan
failure to prevent a build up and possible back-flow of ozone into the work environment.
Unit shell, mounting brackets and bolts are
all made from high impact PVC and nylon to prevent corrosion and to make clean up simple
using soap and water.
All other components are made of stainless
steel or marine grade tin. The wiring and electronics are also marine grade to prevent
corrosion break down in the electrical system.
Each
unit is equipped with a zinc stud to attract corrosion away from the
exhaust fan motors and bearings to help extend the life of the fans.
An internal ground / polarity monitor
insures that the unit will not operate if proper electrical supply requirements are not
met, to protect the transformer from premature burn-out.
A special air intake filter helps separate
moisture and particulate matter from entering the exhaust system increasing the time
between servicing intervals.
